Waste•smART – creative competition

If we do not re-use and recycle them, they could be ending up in landfills or incineration plants. Each year, EU citizens generate an average of half a tonne of household waste per person. Waste can be an economic loss and it can also negatively impact the environment as well as human health.

Even though the impact of poor air quality in Europe is not always visible, air pollution can damage plants, trigger respiratory diseases and result in a shorter life expectancy for humans. We are all affected by air pollution.
