Ecological Footprint updated

The 2005 Edition of the 'National Ecological Footprint and Biocapacity Accounts' are now available.<br /><br /> Ecological footprints measure the extent to which human demand stays within, or exceeds the capacity of the biosphere to supply goods and services.<br /><br /> Sponsored by the EEA, the new accounts include detailed trade statistics for the first time. This allows us to track the impact that one economy has on the eco systems of others as a result of imports and exports.
