The Seveso II Directive aims to ensure high levels of protection against accidents involving dangerous substances. Operators of establishments where certain quantities of dangerous substances are present (called Seveso plants or Seveso installations) are requested to notify the competent authorities and to establish and implement a major implement prevention policy.
