DESCRIPTION:The International Conferences on Environmental Future (ICE
 Fs) are a distinguished series\, the first of which preceded the histo
 ric 1972 Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment.\n\nAt this tim
 e\, 'interdisciplinary' thinking is considered key to solving environm
 ental problems\, but it is unclear what this thinking is or would be a
 nd how it might be progressed in future.\nThe 6th ICEF aims to explore
  the current and potential future extent and nature of interdisciplina
 ry research and management practice across the environmental domain. \
 n\nEighty speakers\, from many countries have agreed to give presentat
 ions\, and abstracts from up to 370 registered participants will be co
 nsidered for oral or poster presentations. The 6th ICEF is a major int
 ernational forum that will inform senior scientists\, environmental ma
 nagers and policy formers and encourage debate about 'interdisciplinar
 y' progress in environmental science and management
