Additional information

Final energy consumption covers all energy supplied to the final consumer for all energy uses. It is usually disaggregated in the final end-use sectors: industry, transport, households, services and agriculture. The difference between total and final energy consumption is due mainly to losses in the conversion process, such as electricity generation, transport and distribution, and the part allocated to final non-energy consumption (e.g. feedstock used by the chemical industry).
