Additional information

Notes to their 2010 indicative targets are made by Italy, Luxemburg, Austria, Portugal, Finland and Sweden in the Directive; Austria and Sweden note that reaching the target is dependent on climatic factors affecting hydropower production. Sweden considers 52 % a more realistic figure if long-term models on hydrologic and climatic conditions are applied. The Member States are ranked in order of the magnitude of the difference between their current share of renewable electricity and their 2010 target (as a percentage difference), from smallest to largest.
