EU environmental policy has led to economic investments that have clearly benefited the health of people and ecosystems, but there are still important unresolved environmental issues in Europe, in particular climate change, loss of biodiversity, and air pollution in urban areas. These are the main conclusions of a report, Outstanding Environmental Issues, produced by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency in cooperation with the EEA. The report was prepared at the request of the Dutch presidency to inform the new European Commission and European Parliament. The report is available as a PDF and a press release from http://www.rivm.nl .
