Additional information

In most regions of the EU-15, arable land has the highest share of the agricultural area of the three land use types displayed in the map. Dominant land use is defined as the land use class with the largest area in the region concerned. Trends are indicated for the areas where changes for the dominant class are higher than 10% Information on trends in Finland, Sweden and Austria and in the new Bundeslander in Germany is not available.
