On World Environment Day (5 June), the European Environment Agency's new Executive Director Hans Bruyninckx discusses the importance of the environment.

Dr Bruyninckx will be speaking at the closing session of Green Week, the European Union's biggest environmental policy conference, at 10:00 to 12:30 on Friday 7 June. His presentation will be streamed on the Green Week website.
