Since COP13 in Bali, local governments have advocated a strong, comprehensive post-2012 global climate agreement that includes ambitious reduction targets, action for adaptation, technology transfer and finance. At COP14 in Poznan, they presented a draft text for a COP decision on 'Cities, Local Authorities and Climate Change'. During the two weeks of COP15, the Local Government Climate LOUNGE will be the place for local governments from around the world for dialogue and interaction with their national government, with other national governments, with other local governments, NGOs and the international press. Konrad Otto‑Zimmermann, Secretary General of ICLEI, will interview the EEA's Executive Director, Professor Jacqueline McGlade.
