CO2 emissions from aviation (domestic and international) in the EU-15 have grown by 62 % between 1990 and 2003. For international aviation, the growth in CO2 emissions over this period is even higher (73 %) (this is also mentioned in EC, 2005g).
The figures do not include greenhouse gas emissions from international aviation and maritime transport.
Look for ways to reduce the energy consumption for heating and cooling, for example by sealing windows and doors, insulation or changing the windows. Today it is possible to build ‘carbon neutral’ houses.
