Additional information

CO2 emissions from aviation (domestic and international) in the EU-15 have grown by 62 % between 1990 and 2003. For international aviation, the growth in CO2 emissions over this period is even higher (73 %) (this is also mentioned in EC, 2005g). The figures do not include greenhouse gas emissions from international aviation and maritime transport.
