The graph shows development of specific CO2 emissions, defined as emissions of CO2 per transport unit (passenger-km), by passenger transport mode (road, rail, maritime, air) over the period 1995 to 2011.
Data coverage: EEA-32 excluding Iceland and Liechtenstein
Specific CO2 emissions data for all transport modes are modelled data derived from TREMOVE (http://www.tremove.org/model/index.htm) and TRENDS (http://www.forum.europa.eu.int/Public/irc/dsis/pip/library?l=/environment_trends).
Specific CO2 emissions are expressed in grams per passenger-kilometer.

Keep your dog on a lead if it is likely to run off and disturb wildlife.
In particular, be careful of nesting birds in early spring and early summer, and roosting or feeding birds in winter. If you have a dog, keep this in mind when you're taking it for a walk!
