The weighted average price of all fuels is expressed per LITRE OF PETROL EQUIVALENT (diesel prices are adjusted for their higher energy content). Prices are those applicable in the middle of January, April, July and October each year. Real prices are corrected for inflation and expressed as euros of 2006 (January). Only EU Member States are included: EC-9 since 1980, EC-10 since 1981, EC-12 since 1986, EU15 since 1995 and EU25 since 2004.
