Where relevant, details have been provided for other seas e.g. the Azov and White Seas.The different seas on the map are defined following the Large Marine Ecosystems (LMEs) approach (http://woodsmoke.edc.uri.edu/Portal/jsp/LME_EA.jsp). However, this approach is not always followed in the chapter.Not all the seas that appear on the map are covered by the statistics below it.
