The map shows the distribution of important bird areas (IBAs) that are considered as threatened by agricultural intensification according to the information published by BirdLife International



Additional information

The figure shows that intensification effects are reported for the highest number of IBAs in Spain, Greece and Italy, but also France, Germany, Scotland as well as southern Portugal have significant clusters. Intensification mainly affects lowland, upland and coastal sites.
