Lakes: nitrate data from: Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Latvia and UK; total phosphorus data from Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland and Latvia. Groundwater bodies: data from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Slovak Republic and Slovenia. Rivers: data from Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden and UK. Data are from representative river and lake stations. Stations that have no designation of type are assumed to be representative and are included in the analysis.
