Methodology:

For each of the 166 species/species groups a species fact sheet was compiled - including origin - by the SEBI2010 Expert Group on trends in invasive alien species. A number of sources was used: Literature, expert contacts, web sites including databases (e.g. International such as IUCN Species Survival Group, Global biodiversity Invasive Species Program, National Governmental organisations.
