Water Uses by Country (EU-28 plus Switzerland)
These data are retrieved from EEA's water accounts production database for the countries scale. Cyprus and Malta are not having sufficient data coverage in the database and it is proposed to be excluded from the graph although for completeness reasons they are included in this draft.
The principles applied was based on the UN SEEA-W framework and implemented in the EEA's water accounts production database. The data that was used were based on the approach from the environment (abstraction) to the environment (return) for the calculation of water uses.
