Up-to-date provisional air quality data in Europe (near real-time data)

Real-time data from around several thousands air quality measurement stations across Europe are transmitted to the EEA in Copenhagen on an hourly basis. Since the data must be as 'real-time' as possible, the data are displayed as soon as practical after the end of each hour.

Data sources: The agency receives measurements from air quality stations located in the member states. These are delivered every half hour. The than display the values on map viewers, for example EEA air quality map viewer.
