Units:

Pollutants: carbon monoxide (CO), ammonia (NH3), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC), nitrogen oxides (NOx - as NO2), sulphur oxides (SOx - as SO2), particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5, total suspended particulate TSP, black carbon BC) in Gg (1000 tonnes);
Pollutants: arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), selenium (Se), zinc (Zn), benzo (a) pyrene (BaP), benzo (b) fluoranthene, benzo (k) fluoranthene, indeno (1,2,3-cd) pyrene, total PAH (1-4), in Mg (tonnes);
Pollutants: hexachlorobenzene (HCB), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) in kilograms;
Pollutant: Dioxins and furans in grams I-TEQ.

Additional information

Data compiled are annual national total and sectoral emissions of air pollutants and associated activity data reported by EEA member and cooperating countries. Data are available for download in the UNECE/EMEP Nomenclature for Reporting (NFR) format used by countries (either as NFR02 or NFR14 formats). A consolidated dataset for all countries in the NFR14 format and consistent with the European Union's air pollutant emission inventory submission to the LRTAP Convention is also provided.
