Member States reporting (Art 7) under the European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) Regulation

The European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) is a web-based register established by Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 which implements the UNECE PRTR Protocol, signed in May 2003 in Kiev.

Microsoft Access database with the E-PRTR data covering reporting for 2007, 2008 and 2009 by EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia and Switzerland. The Access file represents the status of the E-PRTR database as at 24 May 2011. Compared to version 3.0, this new version contains updated EPER data from the following countries: Sweden (2001 and 2004), Spain (2001 and 2004), UK (2004), Estonia (2004) and Belgium (2004).

  • Article 7 of the Regulation sets the requirements for the annual reporting by Member States which covers the releases to air and water for 91 substances, as well as the transfers of pollutants in water and the transfer of waste from industrial facilities across 65 sectors. The register includes information of about 28 000 facilities in 32 countries (EU27, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Serbia).
  • Version 3.1 contains the final correction of the EPER dataset covering 2001 and 2004.  The EPER data have been updated for the following countries: Sweden (2001 and 2004), Spain (2001 and 2004), UK (2004), Estonia (2004) and Belgium (2004).
