Production of toxic chemicals, by toxicity class - tsdph320 (Eurostat)
This indicator presents the trend in aggregated production volumes of toxic chemicals, broken down into five toxicity classes. The toxicity classes, beginning with the most dangerous, are:
carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic (CMR-chemicals);
chronic toxic chemicals;
very toxic chemicals;
toxic chemicals; and
The indicator is a Sustainable Development Indicator (SDI). It has been chosen to contribute to an overall picture of whether the European Union has achieved progress towards the objectives and targets defined in the Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS).
