Modelling of agricultural production: weather, soils and crops.
The book examines quantitive aspects of agricultural production as influenced by environmental conditions and management practices. The approach used has been adopted by the Centre for World Food Studies (SOW) at Wageningen and is based on an international course held at the Agricultural University in this city.
Many exercises and examples are included in the text to facilitate direct application of the theory presented, and answers to the exercises are provided. All the models can be handled with the help of a pocket calculator.
