Data Trends in emissions of greenhouse gases (IPCC sector classification)
Data on greenhouse gas emissions and removals, sent by countries to UNFCCC and the EU Greenhouse Gas Monitoring Mechanism (EU Member States) with copies to EEA and ETC/ACC

EEAFigure GHG emission targets in Europe under the KP (2008–2012) relative to base‑year emissions (absolute and relative)
The final emission levels allocated to the EU and each Member State were established after completion of the reviews of the initial reports pursuant to Article 8 of the KP in 2008. To account for Denmark's exceptionally low base-year emissions compared to other years, Denmark received 5 million AAUs from the Union registry for the first commitment period under the KP

SOER Key fact Mitigating climate change - key fact 5
The EU-15 is on track to meet its common Kyoto Protocol target (8 % reduction compared to 1990 levels). Other EU Member States with individual Kyoto targets are also on track.

EEAFigure Greenhouse gas emission trends and projections for EU-23
This graph shows the evolution of GHG emissions between 1990 and 2004 and the total projected emissions by 2010 in the EU-23 (see note about why EU-23 and not EU-25).

Data Fluorinated greenhouse gases (aggregated data)
Aggregated data reported by undertakings on the production, import and export of fluorinated greenhouse gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6) in the European Union. The European Union Regulation (EC) No 842/2006 on certain fluorinated greenhouse gases (the 'F-Gas Regulation') introduced a requirement for each producer, importer and exporter of more than one tonne of F-gases to report to the European Commission on the quantities produced, imported and exported in each calendar year, including information on the main intended applications of the F-gases quantities reported.
