The summit will be focusing on two specific themes: poverty eradication and sustainable development in the context of a green economy and an institutional framework for sustainable development.

The EEA will participate in the summit in several ways: supporting the EU delegation and the Danish presidency; hosting EEA events; and co-organising events with other international organisations and the host country of Brazil.
