Generation '92 - European youth video competition from Mar 01, 2012 12:00 AM to Jun 05, 2012 12:00 AM — Kongens Nytorv 6, Copenhagen, Denmark: What is your vision for sustainable living in 20 years' time? Competition "Generation '92" offers the opportunity for young Europeans born in 1991, 1992 or 1993 to make a video showing their vision of a sustainable future. The winners will be invited to take part in an event on sustainable development in Copenhagen on 5 June. The best entries will also win a total of €6,000 in cash prizes. Entries may be submitted between 1 March and 11 April.

Satellite event in Copenhagen in connection with Rio+20 conference Jun 05, 2012 from 03:30 PM to 08:00 PM — Kongens Nytorv 6, Copenhagen: The Rio+20 conference, to be held in June this year, comes twenty years after the first Earth Summit (the UN Conference on Environment and Development) when Heads of State met in this same city. In order to celebrate this important occasion, and make our own contribution, EEA is holding a Rio+20 satellite event.

The access initiative Jun 19, 2012 12:00 AM — rio de janeiro: A whole-day side event on Transparency, public participation and accountability to improve national, regional and global governance for sustainable development, with partner organisations from The Access Initiative, UNEP, UNITAR, EEA and others.
EEA side event: Sharing environmental information in action Jun 19, 2012 from 05:00 PM to 06:00 PM — Rio de Janeiro: This side event will showcase examples of European progress in the global sharing of environmental information. It will also explain Europe's Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS) and its principles and foundations. The global promotion of access to information was a key element of Principle 10 of the 1992 Rio Declaration.
