Vacancy at the European Environment Agency:

Secretary (C3/C1), Temporary Agent

Place of work:

  • Secretariat of the Executive Director, European Environment Agency, Copenhagen.

Job description:

  • General secretarial duties (correspondence, administrative assistance, preparation of meetings, etc.).
  • Organising the agenda of the Executive Director and preparing dossiers for meetings and missions.
  • Keeping the Executive DirectorÆs files.
  • Organising the work of the Secretariat.

Required qualifications:

  • Nationality of a Member Country of the European Environment Agency (Member States of the European Union, and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).
  • Minimum secondary education with certificates.
  • At least three yearsÆ experience from similar jobs is necessary.
  • Experience in handling and filing documentation.
  • Experience necessary in use of informatics, in particular word-processing in a Windows environment and database systems of addresses (labels, contact lists, etc.).
  • Very good working knowledge of at least two languages of the Member States of the Agency (Member States of the European Union, and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).

- Good working knowledge of Danish and English and knowledge of French and Spanish would be an asset.

  • Sense of responsibility, also in dealing with confidential matters.
  • Well-organised and good initiative.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
