The European Environment Agency is organising an open competition with a view to drawing up a reserve list of contract agents to work in the Information Centre.
The EEA is an agency of the European Union (EU) and one of the decentralised Community bodies. The EEA aims to support sustainable development and to help achieve significant and measurable improvement in Europe’s environment, through the provision of timely, targeted, relevant and reliable information to policy-making agents and the public.
The Information Centre (IC) is a vital contributor to the Agency’s communication work. In line with the requirements of the Århus Convention, the IC gives individual responses to external requests for information and supports the dissemination of EEA material. It takes part in various kinds of awareness-raising activities and offers presentations for younger audiences. The IC also runs a library offering different kinds of information and training services for EEA staff.
The place of work will be Copenhagen, Denmark.
The jobholders will, in collaboration with other staff in the Information Centre, be involved in a wide range of activities relating to the running of the IC.

The successful candidate will be offered a Contract Agent contract in accordance with the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities. The duration of the contract will be for a limited time period not exceeding four years.
Eligibility of candidates will be assessed according to compliance with all formal requirements by the closing date for the submission of applications.
