Under the responsibility of: Head of Unit, Human Resources and Administrative Services

Place of work: European Environment Agency, Copenhagen

Job description:

  • Contact and negotiations with the Land Lord of the building.
  • Contact with the municipality of Copenhagen.

Supervision of:

Reception, telephone system, distribution of mail, canteen, inventory, audiovisual equipment, loans of portable computers and mobile phones, technical installations, security system, cleaning company, waste removal.

  • Coordination of maintenance service.
  • Assisting in preparation of budgets related to building and supplies.
  • Organisation of calls for tender for administrative services.
  • Order of supplies and equipment.
  • Liaison with suppliers.
  • Negotiation of special agreements (i.e. mail, telephone company etc.).
  • Liaison with insurance companies.

Required qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Danish law in relation to work environment, security, building regulations etc.
  • Knowledge of market prices and of all aspects of supply of merchandise, equipment and services to the Agency.
  • Experience in negotiating at a high level and ability to stay informed concerning new products and progress.
  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in related field.
  • Ability to supervise a small unit of staff.
  • Good working knowledge of Danish and English. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
