NOTICE OF COMPETITION NO. 3–2003


The European Environment Agency is organizing a selection procedure with a view to drawing up a reserve list of:

Project Managers - Scenario development and analysis – Auxiliary Agents


Functions and duties:

  • Support to EEA studies, projects and analysis in the field of environmental scenarios.
  • Support to the development of new methodologies and approaches to environmental scenarios.
  • Contribution to the implementation of EEA strategic approach to scenarios and prospective analysis.
  • Support to cooperation with relevant international networks and Community bodies.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant academic education in social/natural sciences.
  • Sound knowledge of methods and approaches to scenario development and analysis as well as the associated tools (e.g. quantitative, qualitative).
  • Knowledge of EU’s environmental policy.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in related fields including 2 years of experience in the development and analysis of environment related scenarios.
  • Good networking and pro-active team-working skills.
  • Good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

Eligibility


Candidates applying must satisfy the following general requirements on the closing date for the submission of their CVs:

  • be a national of one of the Member Countries of the EEA (Member States of the European Union plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta, and Turkey;
  • meet the educational requirements as described under “Qualifications and experience”.
