SERIS

SERIS is a database of national state of the environment reports developed and maintained by the EEA. The database contains brief publication details for recent (1997 onwards) reports for countries included in the Kiev report. It contains links to the identified reports and to the main organisation involved in these reports. In SERIS the reports can be identified by their geographic coverage or by the year of publication. The database includes national as well as multi-national reports.

SERIS was developed taking into account the need to both have a good overview of the existing state of environment reports and provides easy/quick access to them. SERIS can be used to:

  • identify specific state of the environment information for a geographical area;
  • compare different approaches to providing state of the environment information;
  • get and exchange ideas about how to present state of the environment information;
  • check which is the most recent report from a country;
  • to support regular reporting.
