Production, imports, exports and consumption of Fluorinated gases (F-gases) for years 2007-2011 in the EU-27 (Mt CO2 eq, GWP TAR): Fluorinated greenhouse gases (f-gases) covered by the UNFCCC’s Kyoto Protocol comprise hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6). The graphs present the quantities of f-gases reported under different type of activities for years 2007-2011, based on the information submitted by undertakings under Regulation (EC) No 842/2006 (F-Gas Regulation). In cases where less than three companies have reported for the particular year on the specific type of gases, or where there is a lack of detailed information, the aggregated quantities are provided in the 'Unspecified mix of f-gases' totals.

Fluorinated greenhouse gases (aggregated data): The visualization shows the 2007-2011 trend of production, imports, exports and consumption of F-gases in EU-27, based on the information reported by undertakings. Values are expressed in million tonnes CO2-eq., using the GWP provided in the 3rd Assessment IPCC Report (GWP TAR). The information is provided by type of gases (HFCs, PFCs or SF6) when available or is reported as 'Unspecified' in cases where there is not enough information/ the confidentiality rule applies.

Fluorinated greenhouse gases (aggregated data): Aggregated data reported by undertakings on the production, import and export of fluorinated greenhouse gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6) in the European Union. The European Union Regulation (EC) No 842/2006 on certain fluorinated greenhouse gases (the 'F-Gas Regulation') introduced a requirement for each producer, importer and exporter of more than one tonne of F-gases to report to the European Commission on the quantities produced, imported and exported in each calendar year, including information on the main intended applications of the F-gases quantities reported.
