Waste•smART – creative competition
-
Imagine all the resources, energy and labour that are used to produce food, cars, clothes, mobile phones and everything we consume. If we do not re-use and recycle them, they could be ending up in landfills or incineration plants. Each year, EU citizens generate an average of six tonnes of solid waste per person. Waste can not only be an economic loss but also negatively impact the environment as well as human health.

how consumers, forward-thinking businesses
and policymakers can make a difference by
combining new technological tools — from

ImaginAIR - photo story competition
-
The quality of the air we breathe affects our health and our environment. Even though the impact of poor air quality in Europe is not always visible, air pollution can damage plants, trigger respiratory diseases and result in a shorter life expectancy for humans. We are all affected by air pollution.
