In support of the 2011 'Environment for Europe' Ministerial Conference in Astana, EEA has prepared Europe's environment — An Assessment of Assessments (EE-AoA). This report provides a comprehensive overview of available sources of environmental information across the region which directly relate to the themes in focus at the Conference, water and related ecosystems, and green economy.

The UNECE Seventh Ministerial Conference 'Environment for Europe' takes place from 21 to 23 September in Astana, Kazakhstan. It will include the participation of environment ministers and high-level government officials from 56 countries of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) region, including Canada and USA. Press Release Pan-European assessment asks: 'What do we know about water and green economy?'
Ministers will meet in Astana, Kazakhstan, today to discuss water issues and greening the economy at the seventh 'Environment for Europe' Ministerial Conference, running from 21 - 23 September 2011. To support the Conference, the European Environment Agency (EEA) is launching an innovative Assessment of Assessments report, which recommends ways that environmental information and policy making can be more closely aligned.
