EEAFigure Contribution to total change in ammonia (NH3) emissions for each sector (EEA member countries)
The contribution made by each sector to the total change in ammonia (NH3) emissions between 1990 and 2010.

EEAFigure Sector split of emissions of acidifying pollutants (EEA member countries; EU-15; EU-27 - EU-15; EFTA-4 and CC-3)

EEAFigure Ozone SOMO35, 2004
Combined rural and urban concentration map of the ozone SOMO35, 2004.

EEAFigure Emission trends of ammonia (EEA member countries, EU-27 Member States)
The with measures (WM) projections reported by Member States take into account currently implemented and adopted policies and measures

EEAFigure Zone exceedances of the daily SO2 limit value, 2005
Zone exceedances of the daily SO2 limit value, 2005, reported under Annual report (questionnaire) on air quality assessment and management (2004/461/EC).

EEAFigure Emission trends of acidifying pollutants (EEA member countries, EU-27)
This chart shows past emission trends of nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur oxides (SOx) and ammonia (NH3) in the EEA-32 and EU-27 group of countries. In addition - for the EU-27 - the aggregated Member State 2010 emission ceilings for the respective pollutants are shown

EEAFigure Non-methane volative organic compounds (NMVOC) distance-to-target for EEA member countries
The distance-to-target indicator shows how current emissions compare to a linear emission reduction 'target-path' between 1990 emission levels and the 2010 emission ceiling for each country. Negative percentage values indicate the current emissions in a country are below the linear target path; positive values show that current emission lie above a linear target path to 2010.

Publication EEA Signals 2009 - Key environmental issues facing Europe
Signals is published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) at the start of each year and provides snapshot stories on issues of interest both to the environmental policy debate and the wider public for the upcoming year. The eight stories addressed are not exhaustive but have been selected on the basis of their relevance to the current environmental policy debate in Europe. They address priority issues of climate change, nature and biodiversity, the use of natural resources and health.

EEAFigure Distance-to-target for EEA member countries
The distance-to-target indicator shows how current emissions compare to a linear emission reduction 'target-path' between 2010 emission levels and the 2020 Gothenburg emission ceiling for each country. Negative percentage values indicate the current emissions in a country are below the linear target path; positive values show that current emission lie above a linear target path to 2020.

EEAFigure Change in emissions of nitrogen oxides compared with the 2010 NECD and Gothenburg protocol targets (EEA member countries)
The reported change in nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx) for each country, 1990-2009, in comparison with the 2010 NECD and Gothenburg protocol targets.
