Figure Change in ammonia emissions for each sector between 1990 and 2008 (EEA member countries)
Percentage change in ammonia (NH3) emissions for each sector between 1990 and 2008.
Located in Data and maps Maps and graphs
Figure Contribution to total change in ammonia emissions for each sector (EEA member countries)
The contribution made by each sector to the total change in ammonia (NH3) emissions between 1990 and 2008.

Figure Emissions by sector of sulphur dioxide - 2008 (EEA member countries)
The contribution made by different sectors to emissions of sulphur dioxide

Figure Distance-to-target for EEA member countries
The distance-to-target indicator shows how current emissions compare to a linear emission reduction 'target-path' between 1990 emission levels and the 2010 emission ceiling for each country. Negative percentage values indicate the current emissions in a country are below the linear target path; positive values show that current emission lie above a linear target path to 2010.

Figure Change in non-methane volatile organic compounds emissions for each sector between 1990 and 2009 (EEA member countries)
Percentage change in non-methane volatile organic compound (NMVOC) emissions for each sector between 1990 and 2009.

Figure Contribution to total change in ammonia emissions for each sector (EEA member countries)
The contribution made by each sector to the total change in ammonia (NH3) emissions between 1990 and 2009.

Figure Distance-to-target for EEA member countries
Data are for ammonia. The distance to target results are shown in green (countries need to do more to be on track to meet their ceiling in 2010) and purple (countries are on track to meet their ceiling in 2010)

Figure C source code header Nitrogen dioxide - Hourly limit value for the protection of human health
In the air quality directive (2008/EC/50), the EU has set two limit values for nitrogen dioxide (NO2) for the protection of human health: the NO2 hourly mean value may not exceed 200 micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m3) more than 18 times in a year and the NO2 annual mean value may not exceed 40 micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m3). These limit values come into force for concentrations measured from 1.1.2010 so during 2009 a margin of tolerance equal to an annual mean value of 42 micrograms per cubic metre (μg/m3) is still in place
