Fighting Deforestation – Solutions and Commitments Beyond Copenhagen

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The Swedish Postcode Lottery is cooperating with
National Geographic for the COP15 and will present a new
outdoor photo exhibition that illustrates the devastating
effects of deforestation in Borneo through the eyes of
Tebaran, a member of the dying nomadic Penan tribe
of Borneo, and a wanted man because of his struggle
to save the rainforest.

Indigenous Peoples' Day

The Indigenous Peoples' Day is an opportunity to
take stock of what indigenous peoples have achieved
in advocating for their rights in the climate change
negotiations and to define the next steps on how to
integrate their concerns into the agreements reached

Bright Green Exhibition

and discuss appropriate regulation, the world's leading
companies will showcase solutions and provide
technological answers. This will take place at the only
large-scale exhibition running in parallel with the COP15,
the Bright Green Exhibition.

Governments, civil society and business representatives are convening in Copenhagen on 7–18 December for a United Nations conference on combating climate change. European Environment Agency will host several events and contribute to some of the many activities taking place around the city.
